| Minna Kontro, our visiting guest from Sotkamo, Finland, returned to her home on August 2nd, 2003. We were sad to see her leave as she quickly became part of the family. While living with us she gotto know the animals quite well and enjoys taking the collies for walks as well as walking llamas. She pitched right in with power washing the barn shortly after her arrival, something we're pretty sure won't be among the experiences of many other exchange students. She attended a Lion's sponsored week of camp where there were 60 students representing 20 countries which made it a truly interesting week. Minna helped unload three wagonloads of hay and also baked wonderful Finnish desserts. In case you think I'm just making this girl up, believe me, she really exists!! She has returned to her studies in Finland and we continue to miss her.
